Want to hear a story about me? One about my journey, my friends, and the products I’ve built? They’re all waiting to meet you below. It’s a long story, so take your time :)
Unfortunately, the hidden issues stemming from our lack of professional experience and knowledge eventually surfaced.
We had severely underestimated the workload involved in developing a native app, leading to significant delays in our timeline. As the agreed-upon launch date in our partnership contracts approached, I found myself under immense pressure and anxiety—a feeling that still lingers vividly in my memory.
After the company was officially registered, I renegotiated partnership agreements with all existing student organization members. They agreed to join the platform as the first batch of seed users as soon as the software was ready to launch.
During this time, I leveraged my network to continue expanding the member base while patiently awaiting the completion of the software development.
I didn’t stop pursuing the project. In March 2021, I reached out to Teresa, who had previously developed the competition system for our business competition finals. I shared my vision for the product with her, and she was deeply impressed by its potential.
In early 2021, I started designing a software product called LEADER (later renamed LIDERAR due to trademark issues) in Adobe XD. The goal was to transform the manually operated community into a more convenient and automated platform through a dedicated app.
The process of shaping the product was far from the smooth journey I had imagined. My lack of design fundamentals and product management knowledge made every step of turning ideas into prototypes a challenge.
However, this struggle gave me clarity—I realized that if I wanted to go further on the path of product development, a solid professional foundation was absolutely essential.
While continuing to push the project forward, I compiled my entrepreneurial experience and app design journey into an portfolio and submitted it to ArtCenter College of Design in Los Angeles. Known for its focus on business-driven design and rigorous teaching style, ArtCenter was the first school to offer an undergraduate degree in Interaction Design.
In February 2021, I received my acceptance letter to ArtCenter’s Interaction Design program.
Two people still weren’t enough to build a fully developed product. So, I turned to another old friend—Antony, who later invested and covered all the initial expenses for the early-stage operations and development. With that, our three-person founding team was officially formed.
In May 2021, my two co-founders and I established Shenzhen Saclysense Technology Co., Ltd. This allowed us to operate in a more professional and efficient manner, secure resources, and protect our intellectual property.

September arrived in the blink of an eye, and with no other choice, I had to temporarily put the project on hold. Alone, I traveled to the United States to begin my undergraduate journey, hoping that along the way, I might find some answers to the challenges I had faced.
